Alikay Naturals Avocado Cream is HOLY GRAIL status!!

Avocado Cream on my 4b/4c hair

What IS this Avocado Cream ?

No it isn’t just mashing up a green fatty vegetable (or is it a fruit?) and smearing it onto your hair. I have heard that it works for some people though. But no, I actually have tried quite a few products from Alikay Naturals and I liked most of them. This particular product is a deep conditioner so you leave it on for a little while after applying to let it sink into the strands. Good stuff. The ingredients are as follows:

*Key Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol(Coconut derived), Stearalkonium Chloride(Coconut derived), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice(Aloe Vera Juice), Persea Gratissima (Avocado Oil), Persea Gratissima (Avocado Butter), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary Oil), Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), Citric Acid, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ Oil), Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Natural Detangling Agent), Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil , Sorbic Acid(Food Grade Preservative),Arctium lappa (Burdock) Root, Fragrance (Parfum), Color additives, Botanical Blend Ingredients.

Featured Ingredients:

  • Avocado Oil: Penetrates hair cortex to lubricate hair and improve elasticity to reduce breakage, improves detangling, and moisturizes dry scalp.
  • Peppermint Oil: Stimulates the hair follicles to promote healthier hair growth. It also soothes scalp irritation and inflammation.
  • Burdock Root: Reduces hair loss and relieves scalp irritation. It is rich in fatty acids that improves blood circulation to hair follicles and roots.
  • So you can see the ingredients are pretty moisturizing and are supposed to treat the scalp as well as the hair.

So How does Alikay Naturals Avocado Cream work on your Hair?

It is good, so great that I feel every other conditioner to be inferior now. Right off the bat the product is such a bright green color that you know it isn’t the natural avocado color. It is more the color of a green now & later or laffy taffy.

I ain’t mad at them about it because um…candy is delicious right? The scent is just as sweet as you’d think but I think it smelled somewhat melonlike. The smell is delicious, to say the least, unless you don’t like heavy scents. When applying, it instructs you to part hair into 4 sections, which I normally do anyway. I applied it and it changed the feel of my hair almost instantly. I could feel it penetrating my tresses and it felt like it was elongating my hair as well. It literally felt like butter. It made my hair feel so straightened out that it was reminiscent of when I was relaxed. It gave me softness, smoothness and hangtime to die for! I’ve NEVER loved a conditioner so much. It has outshined everything I’ve ever touched. I had to keep looking at the jar to check for smoking and witches cackling because I sensed it was witchcraft. Yes. It is that good. This is definitely Holy Grail status for me at this point. I still use my other conditioeners because I need to get rid of them and because sometimes I’m too broke for the $15+ that it costs for just 8 oz. Ugh. I used a lot in my video review but I have been using that stuff sparingly and it still worked just as great so a little goes a long way but not long enough. The price is honestly the only setback but I will still buy it or sell my husband on the black market for Avocado Cream money. Lol.

What say you? Have you tried this stuff? Did you love it just as much?
